Arrival to School On the first day of school all students will report to their holding area by grade level and will be dismissed to first period. Our Viking staff will be out in the hallways directing students and helping students transition between each class period. All students are encouraged to look in the Home Access Center on Wednesday morning prior to coming to school to check their schedule.

Schedules The Counseling Department is working hard to level out class sizes to ensure the best possible learning environment for all students. For this reason, your child’s schedule may have changed since Viking Venture. It is important that all students check the Home Access Center (HAC) tonight to locate your first period teacher. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility during this time. Students will receive their ID and a hard copy of their schedule during first period tomorrow. Schedule Changes Schedule changes will only be made in the event a student has a missing class period or for a level change. Student IDs All students are required to wear their school ID on a lanyard around their neck. All students need to bring their own lanyard on the first day of school. Students will be given their school ID during first period on Wednesday. Students without an ID will take their picture the first few days of school during their lunch.

Car Rider Procedures Please watch the video explaining our front car rider procedures. Please plan for a longer than usual car rider experience the first few weeks of school as we all adjust to the back to school drop off and pick-up routine.

SCHOOL DRESS CODE All students are expected to adhere to the campus and district dress code. Please click the link below to view our dress code video.

Student Deliveries Deliveries from parents to students can be dropped off in the front vestibule on the designated delivery table. Deliveries will only be handed out during the student's lunch period. Parents are responsible for filling out the delivery form, attaching it to the delivery and putting the delivery (food, items, etc.) on the designated grade level shelf. Students may stop by the front office in between classes to pick up their delivery as well. Students will not be allowed to leave during classroom instruction to pick up a delivery. Deliveries that are missing are not he responsibility of AJH.

  • Deliveries (food or items) will not be allowed during state Testing days.

  • Students may not have food delivered from outside entities during the day such as Dominoes, Uber Eats, door Dash, etc

  • Parents can only deliver food and items for their child. Food trays and large amounts of food will not be accepted.

In an effort to avoid unnecessary classroom disruptions, messages, materials and acknowledgements (such as balloons and flowers) will not be delivered to students while they are at school. Messages will be delivered to students in class only in cases of emergency and with the approval of the grade-level principal. Parents who feel they must speak to a student during the school day are requested to go to a principal’s office.
