Message from Erin LaBrache
Hello Viking Families!
Welcome to a new year of school, a new year of PTSA, and a brand new school! I am so excited to serve as the first President of Adams Junior High PTSA. As a bit of introduction, I served on the PTA at WoodCreek Junior High for the last three years. Prior to that, I was active in the PTA at the American School in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I have two daughters attending Tompkins High School and my son will be a sixth-grader at Adams. I love volunteering at the schools and hope to make Adams a place where you do too.
PTSA is focused on making every child’s potential a reality by strengthening education and taking a comprehensive approach to community success. Your new PTSA board has been busy exploring programs, events, and opportunities aimed at enhancing the educational environment for our students this year. Some of our goals are to bring character and community programs to the school such as anti-bully, and anti-drug awareness speakers, enhancing the campus by purchasing outdoor seating (wouldn’t it be great if our kids could see the sun during school hours!), treating the kids to special days to make them feel valued, and making sure that the staff has what it needs in support and appreciation of their hard work.
Please join me, the PTSA board, and our entire community as we strive to make this inaugural year at Adams a success. The old adage, “It takes a village”, comes to mind when I think about what is in store for Adams. And with your support we can make our goals a reality. We invite all families, including students, to be involved in the PTSA.
Become a member of the PTSA. Membership is the first step to participate in the PTSA’s cause. A membership form may be found on the PTSA website.
Come to our meetings. Our next meeting will be held on September 5, at 11:30 at AJH.
Please bookmark Adams Junior High PTSA Website. Here you will find pertinent information regarding upcoming school events, opportunities, news, an online store and so much more. Keep up on what’s happening at school here.
Take part in our fundraising program so we can pay for our events, academic enrichment for our children, and more.
Volunteer a little or a lot. All efforts are greatly appreciated!
On behalf of the PTSA board, thank you for your support and we look forward to having a fantastic year at Adams Junior High.
Erin LaBrache, PTSA President
